What This Trip Covers

Seven days across four of Kenya’s key destinations. Start in Nairobi, move into the Maasai Mara for two full days of game drives, stop at Lake Naivasha for a boat ride and a walk on Crescent Island, then finish in Amboseli with Mount Kilimanjaro as your backdrop.

You get the Mara’s big cats, Naivasha’s birdlife and hippos, and Amboseli’s elephant herds. All in one trip.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 (Nairobi) → Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your guide meets you at arrivals and transfers you to your hotel. Dinner included. Rest up. Hotel: Dusit Princess / Similar

Day 2 (Nairobi to Maasai Mara) → Drive to the Maasai Mara. Open valleys, rolling hills, and glimpses of rural Kenya along the way. Check in and head out for an afternoon game drive. Elephants, lions, zebras. Your first real look at the Mara. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Hotel: Sentrim Mara / Similar

Day 3 (Full Day in the Maasai Mara) → A full day on the plains. Morning and afternoon game drives. July is peak season — wildebeest crossings are active now. You might catch a cheetah hunt, a pride at rest, or a giraffe tower moving across the horizon. Optional Maasai village visit available at extra cost. Day 4 (Mara to Naivasha) →  After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha. A boat ride across calm water, hippos close by, hundreds of birds overhead. Then Crescent Island — walk freely among giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. No fences. No vehicles. Just nature. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Hotel: Naivasha Kongoni Lodge / Similar

Day 5 (Naivasha to Amboseli) → Drive south to Amboseli. Kilimanjaro fills the sky on clear days. Check in, have lunch, and head out for a late afternoon game drive depending on arrival time. Day 6 (Full Day in Amboseli) → Morning and afternoon drives through swamps, dry lake beds, and acacia woodlands. Visit Observation Hill for a wide view of the whole park. Day 7 (Departure) →  Breakfast, then transfer to the airport. Meal: Breakfast

Rates based on 6 passengers per vehicle. Booking cut-off: 1 week before departure, subject to availability.

Key Notes

Children: Ages 2–11 qualify for child rates. Over 11 is charged as an adult. Under 2 is free.

Single supplement: SRS applies when a room is used by 1 adult, whether alone or sharing with a child. Maximum 2 single rooms per group at the single rate. Any additional singles are charged at the double room rate.

Extra beds: Hotels provide a maximum of 1 extra bed per room. Max room setup is 3 single beds, or a double bed plus one single.

Booking: This is a quotation only. No bookings are confirmed until reservation is made and availability is confirmed.

Room upgrades: The quoted rate is for the entry room category. Upgrades to a different room type will cost extra.

Early check-in / late check-out: Subject to hotel availability and an additional charge. Request at least 24 hours before travel.

Visa: Apply online at etakenya.go.ke before departure. Manual visa on arrival is no longer available.

Health: Yellow Fever certificate required if travelling from a Yellow Fever country. Confirm all current entry requirements before booking.

Plastic bags: Kenya has banned plastic carrier bags, including duty-free bags. Leave them at home. Fines are severe.

Baggage: 15 kg limit for domestic flights. 20 kg for road safari. Soft bags are preferred.

Insurance: Personal travel cover is strongly advised for all visitors.

Cancellation Policy (Peak Season – July)

Cancellations received less than 60 days before arrival:

• 60 to 51 days before: 35% of tour cost
• 50 to 41 days before: 50% of tour cost
• 40 to 15 days before: 75% of tour cost
• 14 days or less / no-show: 100% of tour cost

Changes to bookings can be made up to 15 days before departure. A $50 fee applies per change. Additional cancellation charges from individual suppliers may also apply.
